Maria

Gerald's only surviving granddaughter that the family knows of.

She was born with a genetic disorder that caused both a badly-suppressed immune system and almost no magical power to speak of. After a particularly harrowing bout with an illness that only causes most dragons to have to take it easy for a week, her grandfather poured all of his efforts and resources into finding a cure.

What he eventually hit upon was Shadow, a Plague supersoldier whose own immune system was bolstered to the point he never gets sick. Regular plasma transfusions from him to Maria have, over time, slowly boosted her immune system to something like a normal dragon's: she still gets sick, but rarely does it come close to killing her anymore.

More than that, Shadow is her uncle, and both he and Gerald doted on her as she grew up. After a calamity befell their old lair, leaving the three of them the only survivors they were aware of, they came to the Intersection and settled into the mostly-peaceful rhythms there, though like her elders, Maria carries quite some trauma from the attack: she was badly injured and barely recovered.

As an adult, she has taken interest in the law, and is studying to be a lawyer.
