Tonks is an excellent guide with an impressive knowledge of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Having grown up a lived there for most of her life, she has taken that time to explore every possible nook and cranny she could find. She dislikes staying in one place for too long, and as such, her job as a guide to help dragons across the sea while getting to share all the knowledge she has accumulated over the years to willing listeners.

Easily excitable and easily distractible, she is also quite prone to accidents, losing track of her surroundings and crashing into the things around her. Often she will notice something she wants to check out, hone in on it, and proceed to miss another dragon crossing her path. She is most at home in the air than on her feet because of this, as those same obstacles don't exist. Her wings are also long and thin, clearly adapted to soaring long distances and long times in the air over the sea.

Tonks has more friends who are birds than dragons. She enjoys their presence and will chatter to them all day long despite their own lack of response. She often does air acrobatics with these birds.
