Biography
~ Matchmaker, Fortune Teller, Valentine's Day Dragon ~
Uh-oh, looks like this fortune-telling coatl has wandered a little too far from her lair [110696], and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. Please add on to Amora's story! I'd like to see who she meets along the way. She arrived at the Coterie advertising herself as something of a matchmaker. As time passed, Amora became increasingly disappointed. Pavo was flawed in ways that she could not accept. His relaxed nature made him seem apathetic when it mattered to her. Bringing up problems she had were met with passive acceptance and eventual returns of the same problems. There was no future with him. She told herself that perhaps it wasn't as bad as it could be. Should their single egg hatch a beautiful hatchling, she promised herself to stay with him, and make changes to her expectations. When the egg hatched, Pavo took a single look at their hatchling and suggested they send her to the Icewarden. Amora could not make that choice with her own child. She ran away with her, brokenhearted. Koza found both Amora and her hatchling – now named Ash – during a quick scavenge for food. Understandably, he was quite happy for more Coatls to join his clan....but to keep them, the clan needed more room. He and Hecate spoke to each other and the newcomers in their strange (and very beautiful!) language. Now that Ash was an adult, Amora decided to move along. At first the plan involved her daughter....but Ash liked staying with Koza's clan and made her choice to separate from her mother. They both said their tear-filled goodbyes and Amora took off. Not long after leaving Koza's clan, Amora had to stop flying and take a break near the edge of the Plague-Arcane border. A deep black fae found her as she cried and grieved, his eyes burning as brightly as the pink aura that flowed in hazy waves from his claws. Pink scales shimmered across his brow, and seemed to change shades as his body moved. He spoke to her, but she could not understand the language common to Sornieth. He nodded in the direction of the Plague domain and lifted his crests, but still she did not understand. With an apologetic half-smile, the dragoness gave a polite nod and spread her wings again for flight. Amora ended her long flight in the Sunbeam Ruins, hoping that the Light could help cheer her heart. She stayed several weeks here, and met other travelers who also had intriguing stories of love and loss. She especially favored a dreamy little spiral, and watching the girl and a local boy stare at each other starry-eyed stirred the matchmaker within her--and Amora carefully pushed the two together. She was over the moon when they indeed fell in love, vowing to never leave each other's sides and even nesting together over two adorable eggs. Feeling her spirit and purpose renewed, Amora decided it was time for her to move on. [Your bio here] |
