Solaire

Solaire bears the marks of a life hard-lived. He was born of a nest between jewel-toned, bright parents, and he was the palest of his clutch - he only counts himself fortunate that his parents were devotees of the Lightweaver and thus dealt with him kindly. He was still exiled, of course, but they at least taught him to fight and sent him on his way with supplies and an escort, a soldier of the sun sent by their god.

His wanderings took him all across the world - save only the plaguelands, which he gave a wide berth to - and left their mark upon him. He never thought he'd find a home - but then he came to the Starfall.

He was on his guard when the first dragon to greet him was a fellow Coatl - but she said nothing about his colors, just bid him a cheerful (if tuneless) welcome, and waved him to follow.

Her lair was exceptionally large for one of their kind, and the dragons that peered out to greet the new arrival were of all shapes and sizes, but mostly - he was slightly chagrinned to notice - brightly hued in shades of purple and pink. He was also, apart from the purple female, apparently the only coatl in the lair.

She was kind enough, despite her awkward speech, didn't even look concerned at his pale scales, his washed-out plumage - just led him to an empty chamber and told him he could have the use of it for as long as he chose.
