Borelus doesn't like to talk of his life before the clan, but he's fought harder and been through more than most. His viciousness seems to haunt him as an uncontrollable part of his past. He is jumpy, quick to tense into an offensive position. He is also hard to anger, but when his temper is struck, it's a force of nature.

During their first years, Aural and Borelus explored the earth side by side. Unsurprisingly, they weren't always met with kind faces. When monsters attacked, Borelus ripped through them with savagery that Aural had never known. He was a huge part in her pursuit of magical abilities- after seeing him in action, she never wanted to have to resort to violence.

Awake while Borelus is asleep. Sleeps during the day.
Can commune with the thorny vines that surround the lair, and is so much
as a leaf is trampled by an intruder, Umbral will know.
The only creature other than Aural and Ryna that Borelus trusts.

The clan father may not be as good at showing his affection as the clan mother, but it doesn't mean he cares for any of the island's inhabitants any less. He is diligent in protecting the island, in training his soldiers, and managing the ins and outs of the clan. While Aural is the beating heart of the clan, Borelus is the watchful eyes.

And the deadly claws.

Lethalus is his army, and the clans guard. When they're not needed for fighting, his drakes make up the border sentinels and hunters. He knows each of them personally, and they trust him unconditionally. Most of Lethalus is closer to Borelus than Aural, but that's no issue when Borelus is undyingly loyal to his goddess.
