Biography
Pious Merope, High Priestess
Merope had a long and arduous road to her position as High Priestess. As Sarai and Abrams' firstborn, she grew up pampered in the clan's early days. Born a Guardian, Merope was late in finding her charge - and, to her father's chagrin, she felt no need to address this. She had little aptitude for fighting or gathering, and thus felt no clear sense of purpose or place in the clan, which only served to isolate her and push her into increasingly irritable spells of moodiness.
Finally, Abram grew tired of his daughter's apparent aimlessness, and, with the begrudging permission of Sarai, sent Merope away to find either her charge or a way to serve her clan. Until then, she was told, she was not welcome to return.
By this time, the clan had moved to Wind, and Merope was left to wander in an unfamiliar land. For two long years, she sought her charge unsuccessfully, until her search brought her into her beloved Dragonhome, to the Pillar of the World. Here, Merope collapsed and cried out: if she could only find some way to serve her clan, some way to be useful to someone, she could see her family again.
Earthshaker heard her pleas, and he took pity on her, blessing her with a new form: that of his very own breed, the Snapper, and a chance to learn the many stories of Dragonhome which had long been forgotten. Merope listened intently, and when she returned to her home only a few months later, she was welcomed back with open arms and, finally, a purpose - to bring the clan back to Dragonhome where they belonged, and to keep them close to the Earthshaker and his land's many stories.
