Aikosa Lumare was formed in the image of the Lightweaver, a cherished daughter of the brilliance. She was raised amongst the Acolytes of the Dawn, a group of dedicated missionaries who intended to, quite literally, enlighten those swathed in shadows. Her heart was pure and intentions good, until she saw the chaos that reigned beneath the other gods of Sornieth. When she did, she began to believe the world needed her and her fellow Acolytes, even if they didn’t want it. After all, they were misguided. She headed a small group to the Southern Icefield, believing warmth was what the dragons of Ice were missing. She would show them all the truth, and bring them into the Light. Nothing went according to plan. The dragons were unreceptive, but she was relentless. If they would not come of their own accord, she would open their eyes for them. Luma started small, with a collection of lost souls who needed some hope to cling to, and took with force the denizens of surrounding clans. Under her watch they would have the guidance and protection they needed. No matter their element, she was firm in her belief that they deserved nothing but the best from life, and that involved keeping the Lightweaver in their hearts. Her goals would soon change. Luma's ideals were shattered by a brutal invasion from the Shadowbinder's children during which several of her disciples were killed or captured. The light, it seemed, did little to protect those who believed so fervently in it. And if the most devout were not safe... was it all a lie? Luma resolved to find the best way to protect her people, which now included an amalgamation of solitary dragons from all elements. A part of that plan came into play when Viraso entered her life. A dark, powerful nomad from the Plague wastelands, Viraso quickly earned her respect. She has never, and will never, trust him fully; his intentions are too obscure. However, they did have three children together: Kaesa, Myranos, and a third, to carry on the power of their bloodline should Luma die. Her rivalry with Noctisse and Lysantha over leadership is backed by Viraso and Kaesa, equally powerful in their own rights. It's probably the only thing keeping her in charge. |
