Hikari designs and makes wonderful pucture lanterns with cunning mechanisms that display wondrous scenes like the fabled Forgotten Portal and the Golem's Workshop.

Her grasp of advanced engineering and her love of design has made her famous in Sornieth (some say that the Lightweaver himself owns some of her best work). In many ways, this unwanted fame is the reason why she is far from her home and working in a quarry next to Underhill Wood. So many famous dragons sought her gifts while she was living in the Lightweaver's domain that she felt quite unable to make anything at all. There were parties and dinners and speeches and events, and all of those things did not lead to a single solitary lamp being made.
One day she found that she was both old and bored, and so she left.

Now she works with a community of young Veilspuns, teaching them old techniques. It is a more sensible life, many beautiful lanterns have been made and lit, and Hikari has become contented and much loved.
