Biography
This strikingly-colored baby was the perfect pestilent whelp from the moment she first pipped her shell, and everyone thought she'd bring glory to the Plaguebringer as she grew. All that changed, however, on the day the matron caught her trying to nurse a wounded centipede back to health. Clearly she was too kind-hearted for Plague.
However she was just fine with their northern neighbors, the Arcanists: A wandering group consisting of an Arcane diplomat (Who was also a rather distract-able alchemist) and his two body guards happened upon the Snapper girl as she tended to a sparrow who's wing had been broken, away from the rest of her clan to try and keep them from tormenting the poor thing. Having several other plague dragons in their clan that didn't exactly fit in with the plague lifestyle, and understanding how rough it could be on young dragons that simply didn't belong in the festering lands watched over by their "Plague Momma".
Knowing a young dragon with experience at fending off diseases and an interest in healing could be useful, the Clan of the Wandering Mind requested a deal: they'd train and protect their daughter in the arcane lands. In exchange, her birth clan would gain tribute to help those who remained.
A risky deal, but it paid off -- soon the girl was escorted safely to the Star Wood Strand to continue her training, being granted the name Amarande. It seemed her interest remained mostly on animals, and thus she was eventually put in charge of tending the growing hoard of familiars, learning about them in depth so she could treat them better and learn of safe methods of collecting materials for various charms, crafts, and potions.
