The Puny Protector

Has a severe dislike for Aine, mostly because of the Mirror Queen's dislike of non-mirror dragons. While her small size makes it easy for her to hide from danger, she is incredibly protective of her Tundra mate, Asimi. She especially hates that he forgets how terrible a clanmate Aine is, which allows the Queen to harass him. Aine and Rarna can often be found bickering, which loses some of its effect because the language barrier between Mirrors and Faes is rather large.

Despite her poor relationship with the Queen of the Lair, Rarna's got a decently high status in the clan. It wouldn't do to upset the dragon that trains the bulk of young dragons in the dangers of the Mire, would it? But, you know... accidents happen. Faes are the perfect size to accidentally be trapped in treasure chests and leave the smallest bodies behind.

It's efficient, yes, but it's so insulting. Sometimes, it's like he's not even trying.

Sessilleks is a jerk. It's clear he knows when he's being disrespectful and he simply doesn't care. In his case, he plays with Asimi- addresses him directly, then plays dumb to tease Asimi into trying to explain himself. He backs down when Rarna flares at him, and he doesn't try to cover for his actions. But he doesn't apologize, either: his grin just goes wide and slanted, and he seems to enjoy how her anger lacks tone.

Her mate isn't a idiot. The words exist in his head, but they tangle in his tongue and get lost. It's a communication problem, not a mental deficiency.

But it's so hard to swallow her anger when some dragons don't realize what they're doing, and it's so hard to voice her rage when she's not built to do so.

Asimi's no idiot. He knows exactly why she's upset.

But he is a big softhearted fool, and he forgives, and forgives, and forgives. He nuzzles her gently, hugs her close, and tells her as best he can that she needs to let things go.

She's not sure if she can. But for him, she'll do anything.
