Biography
Gossamer, affectionately known to her lair members as the Queen of Fluff, is the matriarch and founder of the lair. She has a loving, motherly-like personality and is a gifted healer. It's rumored she dabbles in alchemy, but she has yet to confirm that.
Many moons ago, Gossamer and her original mate, a maroon mirror dragon named Salty, were explorers of the forest. Young, carefree, and in love. Not a care in the world, as they knew the ever-watching Glademom would protect them. After lots of moving around and exploring, Gossamer finally wished to settle and raise hatchlings. Her lover grudgingly agreed, so the two set foot to find a suitable home.
Gossamer was quite attracted to the Everbloom Gardens. The shrubbery made for great hiding and protection for their young, and for healing purposes there were plenty of herbs as well. A lair was soon founded in a hidden cave, and the two lovers became parents. Gossamer was happy as can be and she thought Salty was as well. What else could she want? The two guarded their eggs with a great fierceness, the local inhabitants quickly found out that staying away from that part of the forest was the best.
The day the eggs hatched, Gossamer's heart could have burst with pride. However, she was quite disturbed-her partner hardly took any interest in the care of the young. As the days went by, often he could be seen sitting at the edge of the cave, a longing look in his eyes for something this new life could not provide. Gossamer tried to talk to him about it, but he seemed to have lost interest in her as well. The day came where Salty took his earthly possessions and went to serve the Glademother, leaving the young new mom a single mom.
She at first was quite hurt. The one she dreamed of living the rest of her days with abandoned her-with a bunch of hatchlings at that. Gossamer, however, discovered that she had to keep going. She had a bunch of young depending on her. Gossamer grew strong in will, and daily made trips to the coliseum to fight off fiends for food.
One day, she met a large, grey guardian who wore an odd hat when she made her daily visit to the coliseum. The two teamed up and together fought off the monsters that plagued that area, chatting all the while. His name was Gandalf, a fighter by trade and Wind flight by blood. After finding out he was lairless, Gossamer invited him into her home. He accepted, and since then has protected Gossamer with his life.
As time went on, Gossamer has allowed more dragons into her home, and what was once a love for just one is now a love for many. Her grace and kindness has won the heart of every dragon who currently resides in the lair...even the plague dragons. Her current lairmate is a loving tundra who goes by the name of Kitty, and the two have hatched several nests together.
Gossamer also has a intense love of plushies. Dragons beware of the lair's basement-legends of dragons disappearing have been told. Having thousands of beady black eyes staring at her seems to have no affect on Gossamer.
