There are things in this world that dragon can't understand simply by seeing or touching.

This is the difference between Uakegy and Tekigo. She is not so firmly rooted in the hard set visible world. Their world is one of invisible magicks and things that only faith can explain. After serving time in the Shadowbinder's army, Tekigo knows that their culture and history are as important as how safe the hatchlings are. Some lairs do not last as long as their's has or been through as long and marvelous a journey. Some have and they have nothing that makes them themselves.

Few of her own hatchlings even live with the Clan, most leaving to answer the call of their Deity. But that is okay, everyone has their own path to walk even if it takes them away from once home.

Nightly, Tekigo is the first to whisper her secrets to the leaves before climbing through the thorns to throw them to the sky. She is the one to give small plush toys of their Mother to the hatchlings and idols to the adults. She is often the one to encourage those seeking service to follow their path and those who stay behind hear her words of pride at their contributions. If her fated match is the head, she is the heart. Quiet and always there to offer a word of encouragement or praise.

Perhaps origins are not the most important. She hatched in fire and followed that fire to it's source. When her Clan moved her allegiance shifted to the Mother along with them, claws sometimes bared against her former fellows.

She considers the change from the hot blaze to the cool darkness a tempering of sorts. It made her who is as much as where she was born and where she lives now.

Tekigo is Tekigo because of what she has done, not where.
