ROSSETA
로제타

장미 화원의 주인. 어떤 능력인지는 모르지만 사계절 장미가 시들지 않게 관리하고 있다. 웬만한 드래곤이 보기에도 넓고 큰 화원이지만 대단히 오랫동안 관리해 오면서 누구도 따라갈 수 없는 속도와 솜씨로 단시간 내에 관리하는 법을 익혔다.

나머지 시간에는 늘 화원 중앙의 정자에서 차를 마시며 오수를 즐기고 있다.

원래 제나스는 로제타가 화원에서 놀 때―이때는 아직 화원도 작았고, 로제타도 어렸다―수시로 놀러오던 코아틀 꼬마였는데 맨날 '크면 로제타 누나랑 결혼할 거야! OwT'라고 칭얼거리는 걸 로제타는 따스한 눈길로 바라보며 '넌 코아틀이고, 나는 툰드라잖아? 우리 사이에는 넘을 수 없는 종족이라는 벽이 있어….(사실 그런 것은 없음)'라고 달래며 같이 놀곤 했다.

그런데 제나스가 진짜 툰드라가 되어가지고 와서 청혼했다.
로제타에 의하면 '툰드라 특유의 뛰어난 후각이 아니었으면 저 청년이 제나스라는 것을 영원히 몰라봤을 정도'라고 한다.

다만 제나스는 성년이 되고 나서 툰드라가 되었는데 부작용으로 어릴 적 기억을 대부분 잃어버렸다(타고난 종족 자체를 바꾸는 특별한 방법이 있는데, 엄청난 돈이 드는 데다 드래곤에 따라서는 부작용도 상당하다고 한다). 하지만 로제타를 좋아하는 마음은 변함없었다. 물론 그렇다고 로제타가 즉석에서 제나스의 청혼을 받아들인 건 아니었지만. 그래서 둘은 마치 처음 만난 듯하면서도 서로에게 익숙한, 기묘한 연애 끝에 순조롭게 결혼에 이르러 여태껏 아무런 불만 없이 잘 살고 있다. 다만 제나스가 툰드라가 된 이후 화원의 장미를 보고 군침을 흘리는 나날이 늘어서 가끔 골치가 아프다고 한다.

지금은 장미 화원에 그녀의 기술로 만들어 낸 파란 장미를 심어 두어서, 날아가다가 공중에서 내려다보면 붉은색과 푸른색이 어우러지는 것이 장관이다.
