Yavanna

Many found Yavanna odd for finding her true heart resting in the chest of a dragon cold as stone, when she herself was the very love of nature. Nonetheless, she is as much Aulë's as he is hers. To any questioners, she answers: "All things come from stone and return to stone, for stone is the home of the earth, which is home and mother to all things green and brown."

There is not a soul contained in any dragon's chest, perhaps in any creature's chest, including humans', that holds hate for the Queen - even the bretrayer held a small flame of friendly affection for her, but his greed greatly outweighed his good.

Their first Created child, and her main heir, Thorin, was carved by Aule from stone and silver, and given life by her powers over nature.

By combining her magic with the children he carved from gemstone, they were able to bring forth another two Created children, Arken and Bilbo, who became the spouses of Thorin.

Aule had believed that this was the only way for him to have children, filled with Death and Lifelessness as (he believed) he was. It was to his great joy and shock that Yavanna was able to lay a nest with him.
