Neriya

History
It feels like a lifetime ago that Neriya served the Tidelord, an oracle of practiced skill and extreme devotion. Always, she was only one of many. She has always been overlooked, easily underestimated by both her peers and strangers alike. If she still experiences visions, she refuses to speak of them.

It is not discussed why she and her clan suddenly left the sea of a thousand currents for the shifting expanse. What is known is that many were lost in the journey. What remained at her side are what now make up the entirety of Clan Salus.

Among the few who remained at Neriya’s side were powerful mages, and soon other dragons extended offers of their individual expertise regarding the new and hazardous environment. It did not take long before the Clan discovered an underground cavern beneath the highland scrub and overlooking the tsunami flats. Water mages spun magic to create a dragon-crafted oasis, and others expanded the lair into a veritable labyrinth.

Under Neriya’s guidance, it wasn’t long before Clan Salus became best known as a place of healing, learning and trade. Some wounded have even been known to be taken in without actually seeking out the oasis. It was not uncommon to find it curious or even suspicious that nothing was ever asked of those who were healed. No one was required to stay, and in fact there are few who have remained with Clan Salus for the entirety or even the majority of its history. With all of the usefulness and goodwill well earned, many overlooked the whispers that not everyone who sought out the Clan were seen again. Measures had to be taken to maintain such a haven, after all.

Nevertheless, such things are not meant to last.
