Biography
Aegia
{ Faction Name } *********************** Prophet; Clan Leader; |
A guardian searches, and finds a charge, and protects that charge. And for Aegia, that is how her story started- normal. Growing up in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, she always dreamed of finding her Charge. Aegia poured over bubbles- analyzing visions and whispers while hoping for her own future to be held in one of the words of the Tide. When she finally set out for her charge, it was with bold determination and sureness. That was just how things went. How things usually went for Aegia, has historically, been not normal. Even from a young age, especially during her most active prophetic years, there's always been... something else. A whisper in whale song, or dancing along the winds, or murmuring among stars. It returned to her various ways, but always the same voice, the same... entity. It told her things just as the bubbles had, though differently. |
Her fears at hearing something else were dismissed by other clans and dragons around her- though a few taught her never to make mention of such. So she ignored the voice when it told her her charge would not be ground breaking, nor would she fail, nor would it go as planned. She also ignored the voice when she found her charge in form of a Clan, started and lead by herself when she met the fierce Onyx, and her now mate Alastrom, when it told her to strengthen themselves. She ignored it too, when it spoke of her future heiress Alina when she was just an egg. Her patience in ignoring the voice began to waver however, when Alina came to her one night- asking to set out on travel. At that time, it bubbled around them, seemingly not heard by her offspring as she could hear. It told her of danger, and while it had not been wrong yet, she overran her instincts in order to let her own flesh and blood do as she wished.
It had been a mistake.
When Aegia learned she had lost Alina, somewhere beyond their waters in the Starfall Isles, she felt like she lost a fraction of herself. Alastrom and herself had laid more than once, but it was her first born, the heiress of her charge, of her clan. She turned to the bubbles, to the tide for answers she already had before her offspring had even left their home. The tide, however, quickly turned silent.
The Tidelord was gone, and so was everything Aegia had ever known.
That was a turning point for her, to say the least. Her once powerful, actions louder-than-words from-the shadowy-depths clan dove even deeper. Some left, willingly- though it is unclear how far they had made it before joining the Tidelord, wherever he had gone. Aegia started listening to the voice, and it's seems to have left her... different.
