Etymology: Ankou is a personification of death in Breton mythology as well as in Cornish, Welsh and Norman French folklore. The Ankou is the henchman of Death (oberour ar maro) and he is also known as the grave yard watcher, they said that he protects the graveyard and the souls around it for some unknown reason and he collects the lost souls on his land. The Ankou has also been reported as an apparition entering the house, it takes away the dead who are then placed in the cart with the help of two ghostly companions.
Ankou is clan leader only in terms of age and founding. Reluctant and uninterested in most activities that don't involve eating or muttering insults he certainly isn't the most appropriate choice either, even if his intimidating precesence and rather too dark suggestions mean the rest of the clan respects him (albeit out of fear.) Ankou generally ignores most of the clan outside of complaining under his breath, the only ones he seems to be vaguely conversational with are Natosuelta and Agrona for organising the clan and Oloroso for something creepy and of questionable legality probably, they seem to spend too much time near the Wyrmwound edge to be doing anything else.

Recent events causing the clan to go into hiding have caused some to question whether Ankou should remain, dragons saw him with Oloroso regularly near the Wyrmwound, clearly up to no good. Whether that had anything to do with the monsters terrorising the clan now is still unknown. 		1051341_350.png
