Sometimes Thalassa feels more like a trophy than a valuable member of the clan, but there’s no shortage of dragons trying to make her feel more at home.

Hemera was slightly overbearing in her attempts to welcome the young guardian to the Ashfall Waste. Where the Coatl’s fire is evident in everything she does, Thalassa’s element is also prominent in her personality, making them polar opposites. The Guardian is unusually introverted in her clanmates’ eyes, but she often spends many hours in companionable silence with Chronos, who is much much nicer to the younger dragons. Typhoeus especially grew fond of her, and took it upon himself to oversee her training and ease her homesickness.

Eventually Thalassa decided that the best way to make herself feel like she belonged was to cover herself in as much fire as possible. Uncreative perhaps, but the display of effort made her incredibly popular with many of the local dragons. Chronos finds it distasteful, but he'd never say so. He finds it absurd that the young dragon would try so hard to be something she isn't, which makes him an unashamed hypocrite. Typhoeus also takes issue with her behaviour but has far more integrity. Though he takes great care not to fall out with his friend, he frequently gets into arguments with Pontus over it.
