  Darkness and panic flooded the mind of the earthen dragon as its once loyal familiar slowly dragged its paws towards him. The creature's teeth were bared and dripping with venom of false hate and relentless hope. The dragon quivers, even knowing that it has greater power than the creature. The creature halts and stares at the dragon, with glaring eyes still alight. It pauses its rumbling growls, mesmerized as it drowns in the deep purple of the heavenly eyes. With a shake of its head and a paralyzed movement, the creature stumbles and falls into a lengthened abyss, into the deepest reaches of the very core of its mind, and lands upon an orb of light. Upon touching the light, the creature begins to tremble and glow as darkness is pulsated out of it. The dragon stands there with tears of confusion slinking into the crevices of its face. It nudges the still life form, then gingerly scoops it into its admiring jaws. But it is too late. The life form is gone. |
