Turquoise

Turquoise is far from being a gifted fighter, yet she is a member of the sanctuary's second fighting team. She is very much aware that she was given this role primarily to keep an eye in Aquamarine, which she is glad to do, but she still tries to be as useful a part of the team as she can be, focusing on protecting her teammates and relying on evasion tactics to keep herself safe.
She is a bit timid, always by her sister's side. She often speaks for her sister, when Aquamarine doesn't want to speak and is generally kind, well meaning and helpful.

One morning, gatherers found two shadow eggs a few miles away from the sanctuary. They took them in and Pearl tried to hatch them, hoping they hadn't suffered too much damage from the frigid night on the icefield. Two skydancers hatched and were named Aquamarine and Turquoise.
As a hatchling, Aquamarine would envelop bugs and mice with shadow energy and crush them, for no apparent reason. This was very concerning for Amethyst and the other dragons who were caring for her. Turquoise, however, she never seemed to show any aggressive behavior towards dragons, just a discomforting lack of emotional expression. Turquoise, on the other hand, seemed to be very empathetic and trying to help Aquamarine be a kinder hatchling. After many long discussions, Amethyst concluded that Aquamarine's destructive behavior was part of her nature, but that they would try to redirect these behaviors in a better direction: They would train her to fight monsters and keep the sanctuary safe of monsters, together with Turquoise, so she would continue to be a good influence on her sister.
Turquoise originally seemed to be too fragile to ever become a good fighter, and frequently getting injured during training, but because of her strong will to stand by her sister, she improved enough for Amethyst to feel that it is responsible to let her fight.
