Raaine knows nothing of her origin. She just woke up one day, alone in the ruins with only a few supplies and an old tattered book of stories with her. Confused and alone she wandered listlessly for years; searching for answers about her past, but to no avail. Her only saving grace came when she happened upon a hatchling alone in a forgotten nest. She took the little one in and raised him as her own. She adored the little Snapper, with his innate curiosity and thoughtful mind. Caalder's childhood curiosity grew with him, a curiosity which let him to want to know about Raaine's past, maybe more than she did at this point. She indulged him, going on a search for answers and information that slowly transformed from a singular search for her past to one of greater knowledge of the universe and their world. She watched as this search brought in new dragons and new friends, and ultimately a new and better life for her. Now Raaine looks over this small clan they've grown and all the family she's amassed, and feels completely content with never knowing what brought her to this place, only that she's glad it did.
