It is theorized by the other Clan members that Fluorite is from the same clan as Inya; however, it will only remain a theory, as Fluorite wandered over from the Ashfall Waste into the Shifting Expanse. She was only a hatchling at the time and doesn't remember much of her previous Clan or where she came from.

Unlike Inya, Fluorite enjoys using magics and studying under Spira. However, like Inya, she is reserved with strangers and only has a small circle of friends. While the two have met, they are indifferent to each other. Despite being reserved, if she must speak, she is quite polite in doing so and will try to engage in whatever subject the other dragon/Beastclan Clan member is talking about.

Fluorite plans to become a great diplomat with Spira's aid. She loves learning of other Flights and of the Beastclans. Any trinket she gets from the friendly Beastclan Clan members she treasures and makes sure to take excellent care of them.

Considered unusual for a magic user, Fluorite likes to wear armor. She wants to show that magic users can look fierce while in battle. She is also highly devoted to the Flamecaller.

Cassiopeiae quickly became her friend and is often seen hanging around her when not making deals. Fluorite has also caught the eye of Albireo. He asked her to become his mate. She agreed, but really she thinks she could find herself attracted to anyone.

Due to an accident involving Citrine's nature magic during his Flight's festival, Fluorite was 'blessed' with flowers growing on her back. The flowers are actually somewhat sentient and have acted in protecting her from threats as well as comforting her when upset. While she initially thought it was a curse, she has embraced the symbiotic relationship between her and the flowers.
