Biography

Emperor Bilge
"Zzzzrtsh *clang* hrrroooand."

"How is that even possible? And why is he repeating everything I say?"
Formerly one third of an Emperor, Bilge has zombie-like physical qualities that make it difficult for him to heal. He is generally sweet but can be easily angered.
History
Bilge died when he was still a just a hatchling. Yes, died. The circumstances of his death are not important, all that is important is that his parents made a mistake. They buried their lost child next to a warning sign, warning that there were Imperials buried there, twins who had died some years before. Bilge's parents, not being Imperials, thought nothing of it and used the plot. Bilge is a Nocturne, there should have been no issue. And there wouldn't have been, if the grave had been anywhere else.
Directly underneath the three hatchlings was one of the magical lay lines criss-crossing Sornieth. This vein of magical energy imbued in the soil around it, and in the hatchlings turning to soil above it, enhanced magical properties. In Bilge, or rather Bilge's corpse, this manifested as an increase in the Nocturne's natural ability to mimic. So Bilge mimicked what was around him, and what was around him were two Imperials.
Bilge's body was dragged through the dirt to meld with those of the larger bodies nearby. Bilge regained consciousness as if he had only been asleep. For several days he played along and mimicked his new siblings' behavior when they struck out at any living thing. Stories of an Emperor struck fear into the hearts of dragons as the monstrosity approached their homes. Yet none believed that one of the three heads was not an Imperial, but a Nocturne. Some thought that those telling the story had made a mistake, others took it as meaning that the whole story was a hoax. Only those who saw Bilge believed in him.
Luckily for Sornieth, this could not last forever. Emperors cannot be made of only two Imperials, and as his distance from the lay line increased, Bilge's ability to perfectly mimic one third of an Emperor decreased. After only a few days the Emperor began to fall apart, skin and hair falling off the entity. Only a few days later one of the Imperial heads died again, the other went not long after. The Imperials were not able to integrate Bilge into an Emperor, and so their flesh disconnected and Bilge was but a one-headed hatchling again.
He had sores and scars where other dragons had formerly been attached to him, but he lived. It seemed that Bilge had gained more than the ability to mimic more completely from the leaking lay line, he had also, as the most recently deceased of the three dragons, gained enough magic to continue to live in a zombie-like state after the death of the Emperor.
Bilge does not grow, nor does he regenerate damaged tissue easily. He survived being an Emperor, but in many senses still is one. He remembers nothing of his life before his death. While he enjoys playfully mimicking his visitors, Bilge adopted from his time as an Emperor a quick and explosive temper, as well as an interest in destruction.
Bilge is still a child, but it was deemed that it was not safe for him to live among other dragons, so he was sent here, to the Canyon Home for Dangers to Sornieth. Bilge, on his better days, talks to and delights guests, and on his worse days throws temper tantrums to make dragons ten times his size run in terror. He is dangerous, but he is loved.
