Peleides

Ponderously slow to make up his mind, honorable Peleides is not the brightest of dragons and in fact is often a little too easily fooled for his own good. He is not considered subtle or refined. Especially when younger, he was known more particularly for his clumsiness and for making a hash of things. But he is honest, good-hearted and steadfast, a strong and caring dragon quick to leap to the defense of his clan, especially the younglings. The shyest babies often take comfort and refuge in his strong shadow and quiet, watchful presence.

One of the earliest inhabitants of Clan Athaza's growing lair, he considers the clan itself and the land it inhabits to be his charge to guard and guide. His bumbling attempts at verbal guidance tend to sound like badly-written fortune cookie slips, however, and are less than helpful and sometimes self-contradictory. Nonetheless many of the smaller, younger, or otherwise weaker clan members appreciate his steadfastness and looming physical brawn and look up to him for it, considering him a very valuable dragon so long as he is not pushed beyond his limits.

He rarely ventures beyond the clan's borders, and even though he has a whole horde of backup guards nowadays to help him defend the lands, when once in a blue moon he does leave Athazan grounds he spends the entire time silently preoccupied with what might be going wrong at home in his absence.
