He was not a friendly tundra and Crypsis knew it.
He didn't like crowds, he hated stupidity (and most of dragon kin was stupid to him) and he most certainly had never even thought he would eventually find someone to follow.

He was a demanding dragon, had no skill whatsoever in interacting with others, and he tended to be insensitive, generating conflicts and fights. He knew all this. He knew his blunt nature lead to offense in others.

It was most of the reason why Crypsis had not settled into a Clan to be honest.
And then there was Harpocrates who had snorted at his blunt insensitive nature. Harpocrates surely angered him to the line. Except that, he passed useful skills to the leader.
