Violetta

Violetta Reads-the-Shadows is a thoughtful, rather sensitive dragon. As a young hatchling in the company of Natasza, named Swallowed-by-Shadows, she made a long pilgrimage to the heart of the land. There, they formally offered their small clan's first hatchling in exaltation to the Shadowbinder. Violetta had been fond of the young tribute, and the experience troubled her.

In the temple, she was caused to study the pool of Obscured Crescent. Her elders in the clan had decided that, since she was the only arcane hatchling they had collected, being given briefly to the pool might be useful for her education and improvement. Indeed, it was a pivotal moment in her young life. If arcane matters are brought up in conversation, she will calmly insist that the greatest wisdom is subtle, and that Shadowbinder is wise to have obscured the pool.

Violetta's den is full of soft, cozy rugs and cushions, scrolls and runes; her reading of tea leaves is frequent and sometimes accurate. She is deeply smitten with the handsome Tremblor and keeps a somewhat spoiled Lasher named Frou-Frou.
