Biography
Anu
of Cloud Branch
Headmaster of Vocational Training
Ryb of Hunting and Combat
Gruff, Quiet, Kind
Anuket is the Headmaster of Vocational Training in the Tree of Dawn's education system, and holds the honorific title of Ryb ("professor" being the academic equivalent). He has a deep and storied background and proficiency in Combat, Hunting, Tracking and Martial Form.
A war-hardened veteran and former military leader, he's left his days of conflict behind him and settled down at the tree at the invitation of his old mentor, who has since passed on. Here, he teaches many of the traditional dragon skills vital to the dragons of the Tree and, particularly, the Watch, whether combat, hunting, leadership or survival. Despite his age, his prowess has not diminished. Takana, his aviar familiar, is capable of taking down a yeti by itself. (To learn more about the watch, see Cameron's page.
Although Anuket presents a hard, gruff exterior, he has a heart of gold and loves all his students and Watch dragons dearly, as if they were his own children, and respects their effort and dedication. Ever since the band arrived he's become very subtly more cheery. He even tolerates Moql's antics during lessons, and invites him to join training flights.
