history
Once a dark warlock for the townsfolk, the Nogitsune was summoned to the Palace to try his hand at healing the Queen. He managed to raise her from her deathbed, but the Queen was too weak to survive on her own. Because of this, the Nogitsune created two pearls for the King and Queen that would connect their life force and allow the Queen to feed off of the King's life energy. Due to his success, the Nogitsune received a place on the Council as High Mage.

But no one knows that the pearls serve a different purpose for the Nogitsune. They allow him to gain access to the King's thoughts, paving the way for him to place ideas in the King's head, and control his dreams at night.

He is accustomed to getting what he wants -- and more than anything, he's accustomed to winning. If someone refuses him, he'll often call upon his loyal companion, Davenport, who places the souls of those that have lost to the Nogitsune in lanterns, which the Nogitsune carries with him.
