Biography
Aura, divine personification of the Breeze.
Aurai, nymphs of the breezes. They were daughters of the Anemoi.
Anemoi, (in Greek, Ἄνεμοι — "winds") were Greek wind gods.
When Aurai was young, her father felt the call to serve the Windsinger. She grew up hearing tales of him, and of the god he served. When she grew old enough, She decided to seek her own path and so left the clan of her birth. She traveled for many days, until she came upon the Clan of the Cloud Chasers, dragons of the arts, with a thirst for knowledge and inspiration, their muses bourne by the winds and clouds.
They were kind to her, feeding and housing her, sharing tales that they had written and tales they had collected. But Aurai was still restless. She felt a connection to these dragons who had been so kind, but she wished to see more of the world.
The leader of the clan had the perfect solution.
"You shall be an emissary, bearing news of us and our mission to others, finding the stories of others who feel our same calling."
And so once more, Aurai began a journey, feeling at home upon the wind.
