Despite her bright and vibrant appearance, [Unnamed] is very shy and reserved. Her parents, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, didn't name her before leaving to serve the Icewarden. She's the last borne by them. Upon their departure, she begged them to name her. They told her, "Find out who you are, and you shall find your own name. It is not for us to decide your future." Since then, her only company has been her familiar, a Downy Fox Rat. The older she grew, the more reserved she became. The leader of her clan, Esyllt, took notice of the young imperial, and began trying help. Eventually, Esylt and Llelwyn persuaded her to take flight and begin a journey that would hopefully lead her to find herself in the wilds beyond. With a heavy heart, the terrified imperial said her farewells to her furry companion, and took off into the snowy skies.

Nocturna8896: Unnamed traveled to a peaceful Arcane clan. Though upon her arrival many of the younger dragons bullied her for having no name. That is until Gwen caught wind of the harassment. One rawr from Gwen and Thorn ceased, she then reminded him that all were born with no name. Gwen also assured Unnamed that her name would come to her in time, and that the Icewarden must have a great plan for her. The rest of the week passed without incident. Unnamed left the clan with a little more hope then before.

Having no name also didn't do the young female well in the pirate lair. She was forced to sleep near the hatchlings for her stay but she knew she shouldn't stay there long. A few of the males took to her and she retreated with haste, she left so quickly in fact that she became lost on her journey to the next lair.

XaentheUndead: Unnamed -> Named to Ġicel meaning: ice, icicle, glacier in Old English.

Unnamed had learned that her stay in the Pirate den was up, and she had to move on; though the leader had new word where the Plague Lair was relocated to and offered this tid-bit of information to the unnamed Imperial.

She took what belongings she had and moved on; a little quicker due to the 'fond' stares she was getting from some of the pirate folks, that she felt a little uncomfortable with, and made haste to the dire lands of PlagueBringer.

She had heard word of this land from her Ice clan, rumors about how a plague male once visited, and even a few wanderers from such a land came to her home, curious she took her pace aloft. Preferring much to fly than to endure the long walk on foot across this hazardous landscape.

It wasn't long before she made her way over to the generalized area; noticing faint gleams and flashes of gold and blue colored wings as the Plague Dragons sunned themselves over large flat rocks that baked beneath them, curious she landed asking if this was the proper clan.

Almost in no instant flat came two massive Imperials; both dark mottled blood color and nearly crashed into her calling out.

'Is that you Ianthine?' The male asked cautiously.
The female of his color group craned her neck curiously.

'Er... no; I'm... I'm'
A sigh escaped her.
'I have no name.' She wistfully admitted.

Abaddon and Hellion paused for a decent time; examining the female Imperial who so resembled their long lost adopted daughter; they did miss her; even if they were not her parents.

'You will have a name, I doubt you have been fondly acknowledged in many lairs without a name to call yourself.'

Unnamed nodded sheepishly; it was true, having no name seemed harsh. After the taunts, bullying and name-calling.

'I-I will?' The imperial crooned softly.
'Yes, we have many dragons from your lands here; I am certain they can help find you a name that you may enjoy; and to bear proudly.'

It wasn't long before word went out that an unnamed ice imperial needed aid; no sooner had the news spread like a flu, and a flurry of previous Ice dragons flocked together to talk to this new Ice dragon.

Azaria, Aesaucus, Aurora, Auchin where the first dragons to gather, Aurora had broken from the group to gather the rest. Calaun, Cassiel, Della and Timelord all returned with Aurora as she weaved her way between the clan-mates and spread word that they were allowed to use the meeting cavern to discuss this event.

8 Ice dragons guided Unnamed into this chamber and helped find her a new name, often it took a few hours here and there, but eventually Unnamed accepted her new name Ġicel, she wanted to remind herself so fondly of home, to be proud of the power and familiarity of it.

She wanted to keep this name as her connection back home, so she wouldn't feel so homesick; not being able to have something to tie her back except her eyes.

Yet her stay wasn't for long, she had to go soon and though she made new Ice/Plague friends she felt better than she had from the previous two lairs she had visited; they even gave her a small keepsake to remind her so much of home. A small token of the Furry IceWarden Puppet to keep her calm if events would turn worse. Even then, they gave her a familiar native to her homeland a Snow Streak.

It wasn't long before the entire Lair walked her out and bade her farewell and safe journeys, the old Ice Dragons even offered to fly her to the edge of the Plaguelands for the next leg of her journey.

She beamed at their generosity and thanked each and every one of them, before departing and agreeing to the companion flight.

Gicel wasn't sure at what point the dark trees of the dark trees of the tangled wood that bordered the Plaguelands had become lush and green. But it only took her an hour or so of travel to realize that she was now standing within the domain of the GladeKeeper. Her travels had taken her more than once into the land of plague...so despite the thick trees and high canopy it was a rather nice change.
Not sure where her path would lead, or if there were even friends among the trees, Gicel traveled on. She knew that she should be nervous...but there was new confidence in her steps. She was Gicel. She had a name and could finally come into her own.

A sound amongst the trees brought that confidence crashing down. Lowing her head and tucking her wings close to her sides, she swiveled her eyes around trying to locate the disturbance. It was a voice, or rather a deep growl.

Keeping low but knowing her light golden hide would stand out next to the leafy landscape, she swallowed her fear. Stepping slowly and carefully towards the sound, her eyes finally fell upon the commotion.

"You won't get away with this!"

In a small clearing, a battered charcoal skydancer was being held down by the massive paw of a dark guardian.

"My dear boy..." The guardian growled into the much smaller dragons face. He was wearing a golden wolf pelt over his head and shoulders, concealing much of his appearance. "I already have." An orange fire licked at the guardians scales as he drew upon his innate power, causing the skydancer to cry out when those flames seared across his downy scales.

Eyes widening in horror, Gicel felt her own aura flare. Ice moved through her veins, crystallizing on her hide and frosting her golden mane. Raising her full bulk out of the bushes, she flared open her wings in a show of dominance. "Let him go." Was all she said, breath a puff of cold in the warm air.

Flaring orange eyes rose to meet hers from behind the golden wolf pelt. "An intruder.." The guardians deep voice rumbled as he lifted his claws from the skydancer to allow him to skitter away. "You misunderstand, this is 'family' business..."

"I would call no dragon corrupted by the shade my family!" The charcoal skydancer growled right back at the guardian, hide still seared and smoking.

"I could always kill both of you..." The guardian flared his own dark pattered wings to refute Gicels dominance show. But even in his best attempts he couldn't compete with the imperials sheer size. Head low and teeth bared the guardian approached, tail swishing dangerously.

In a flare of aura and a sweeping blow of her wings, Gicel sent an icy blast towards the Guardian. She put everything she had into that blast....all of the anger towards the display...all of the frustration and sadness of her journey. And as the rush of cold rolled over the guardian he cried out, flames extinguished quickly.

Retreating, the guardian yelled out angrily, voice fading as he disappeared into the shadows. "Next time, Thirial!"

Heart thundering, Gicel could only stare into the brush where the guardian had disappeared. Had....she actually done it! By the Icewarden...she'd actually done it! Turning towards the tiny skydancer, she lowered her head and folded her wings. "Are you...ok?"

"Yeah..." The Skydancer looked up to her gratefully, one wings folded awkwardly, the feathers seared and damaged. "You saved my life...Thank you."

"What...was that?" Gicel turned her head to the burnt foliage across the clearing.

"Technically? My Grandfather...He's gone dark...taken by the shade." The skydancer shook his head. "And technically...I'm the blood heir to the clan...at least part of it...it's complicated." The Skydancer smiled up gratefully at her. "How'd you do that?"

Gicel shook her head. "I don't know...I guess....my ice worked against his fire." She looked down at the small injured dragon. "Do you want me to...escort you home?"

"Naw..." The Skydancer looked back through the trees opposite of the smoking brush. "He'll probably retreat to his hole to recover. Once my father hears about it there'll be hell to pay." He turned to leave but looked back at the Imperial. "Thank you again..ah.."

"Gicel." The imperial said with confidence.

"Gicel..." The skydancer nodded. "Goodbye....and be safe out here." And with that he stepped through the foliage himself, charcoal hide quickly disappearing amongst the trees.
____

The Dust storm Gicel had flown into by mistake was impossible to see in. forcing her to land and walk along the red sands as the dust swirled in every direction around her. the rushing winds made her eyes sting and water from pain, not able to see the Plague puddles along the Abiding Boneyard.

Her feet sunk into the ground quickly, as the liquid rushed into the most ground her weight sucked her into, soaking her feet and belly. She could feel stinging now, as wing tried desperately to lift her. it wasnt to long thatb a skydancer told her to be safe, and she knew it was unwise to go into the storm, now she was stuck... she had gotten her name, done what she felt was right only to make a mistake and lose it all?

Ripping herself away from her thoughts she felt something pull at her from her shoulders, she could see weirdly shaped beings pull at her legs. squirming weakly she feared the worst. was she now going to be someones meal? after struggling the ground, the beings, her own mind. she was to exhausted to keep up the fight. slowly, she closed her eyes, wishing, praying for someone, something, to save her.

Hours passed, as her eye lids slowly opened. the feeling of lifting her weighted eyelids, felt like sandpaper to her eyes. lifing her head she tried to shake the sand from her eyes, and slowly brought her paw up to brush it away.

"i see your awake." a voice, deep but calm spoke to her. Slowly she looked up with strained eyes, to where the voice came from. a fellow imperial, looked down at her. Skin like crystal like, mimicing a jade stone. "Im Justice" he lowered himself down to her level. "your in Echos lair. we saw your bright skin in the storm, and a few of us lifted you here. with his nose, he pushed a large bowl like container of water toward her, and a few large hunks of meat. "you must be hungry."

Gicel, watched him close, only to look behind him and see so many dragons of different breeds, and colors working together to keep a lair secure. Familiars helping even, nests full of eggs. the Plague lands was supposed to be nothing but horrible creatures and hateful lairs. yet this one saved her? "why?" her voice was so scratchy. "why? why did we save you? simple, your life didnt end yet, so why give it to the plague when you can still do more. there is no need for new life, when you have a fine one right now." The imperial smiled down to the maize one. slowly, gicel looked down at her paws, seeing hints of green. her eyes widened, how did this happen?

"you where in the plauge slime for a bit of time, your belly and paws where soaked. Plague slime can change ones color if not born from the plagues. its a rather nice shade on you." Justice smiled. taking in all in, her eyes never left her paws as Judgement asked a question that she couldnt help but smile slightly at. "whats your name?"

"gicel..."

Slowly Justice rose, as Gicel looked down at the food. "well Gicel, eat up, and when your ready we will guide you home." bowing his head, he turned and returned to a full white imperial on the other side of the lair. slowly, Gicel brought the water to her lips and drank her fill. continuing to watch as slowly enjoyed the food.

After many moons, Justice was true to his words, as was everyone else in the lair. Many of them flew with her back to her old home, in the ice lair. though it was dangerous, they still managed to bring her home safe.
