"Praise the sun!"

Solaire's past is shrouded in mystery; No one knows where he came from, how old he is, what his intentions are, ... It is assumed that he was born as a light member due to his affinity and profound love for the sun, as well as his bright yellow eyes, however. It is said that he draws his power from the sun.

Despite all that, every dragon in Sornieth knew his name. Or more specific, their names, since Solaire never went out without his aid Astora. They showed up one day at a small village dealing with a horrendous monster. Many brave souls had tried to slay it, but none actually managed and many died, until that day. Solaire and Astora managed to slay the foul beast together. They make a great team; Solaire as a knight, with Astora as his priestess who heals his wounds and sets up defensive spells during combat.

After that, they showed up at several similar locations where they performed similar actions, their fandom growing along the way. Yet no one ever really got to know these mystery heroes as they disappeared moments after finishing their battle. They didn't stay to receive praise or rewards; These noble dragons were happy just by performing a good deed.

One day, a massive panic broke out around Sornieth; News had it that The Shade had returned. Most dragons tried to flee wherever they could, but not Solaire, he tried to find out its whereabouts, he'd beat it or die trying. After all, he had never once failed to complete a mission before. So it happened that he and Astora found The Shade on the plague domain, where it was already in battle with several dragons, amongst which the flight deity's.

Soon after starting to participate in battle however, they realized they were no match for this being. Solaire and Astora were beaten badly. They were at their weakest since there was no chance of drawing any power from the sun during this battle. It was when The Shade was about to deal them the final blow, that a young dragoness jumped in front of them to ward off the attack. Or so Solaire could see. Seconds later he passed out...

... To wake up in a warm, comfortable bed, surrounded by various curious eyes. The dragoness that saved them amongst the bunch. She explained that she had her clan move them out of harm's way and had her healer heal them. They owed their life to this clan.

It was then that Solaire pledged loyalty and allegiance to Tali's clan, to aid the one who saved his life. Tali felt flattered by their offer, but she felt like they would be of more use to the world performing their usual work. Solaire protested this, and eventually they worked out that Solaire and Astora could live at the lair, but if any news came in of monster sightings, they'd travel out to slay it. And so two new clan mates came to be.

They're barely ever around, but when they are, Solaire and Astora mainly help out in combat. Either aiding the other dragons in training, or actually fighting to fend off attackers.

As they now had a place to call home, Solaire and Astora settled down a little, leading them to realize they actually had loved one another more than they even love the sun. As Solaire told Astora "You are the sun in me." and Astora replied with "You are the light that fills my heart", the two became mates.

He was named after the character Solaire Astora from Dark Souls. Solaire is an assisting knight of light who helps the player in various points of the game.
