Ylva is short tempered and ambitious; that's how all the dragons in the Ocean Storms Clan have known her, but once you know her history, you won't ever look at her the same way....

Ylva grew up with very old fashioned parents. Their belief was that you could not mate with a dragon of a different species. Needles to say they were very disappointed when one of their eldest daughters, Kitzeg ran of with an Imperial. And shortly after that 4 out of their 5 newly hatched hatchlings were chosen to be sacrificed to the Shadowbinder.
Soon enough they had another disappointment. Zurtava. Yep, another of their eldest daughters fell in love with another Imperial. Though this one (to her parents joy) had three cute little Nocturne Grandhatchlings. Except the runt of the litter, Gigglewing, was also chosen to be the Shadowbinders gift.

Vattacu, their oldest son, is the golden child. He's perfect. There's really nothing else to say about him.

Loki, the youngest of Ylva's parents first litter left home at an early age to eventually find his mate and settle down under the service of the Icewarden. Though in the end he had to give up his 2 precious daughters to him.

Ylva's parents had a second litter 2 months after their first. 2 sons and 1 daughter. Ylva's little sister and one of her little brothers are still at home and haven't done anything to disappoint their parents yet. But the second of her little brothers has gone to the Shadowbinder.

Ylva herself had 3 spiral hatchlings with a traveler called High Tide. He left with the hatchlings in the middle of the night. Ylva was so distraught when she awoke that she made arrangements to leave her old clan as soon as possible.

She ended up here, met Dzsinn and fell in love with him.
