Uh-oh, looks like this mossy baby wandered a little too far from her lair! (Randomonlooker, 125607), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Sassie arrived in her temporary home early one morning, to be greeted by a plethora of different, but friendly, dragons. Her new clan accepted her and gave her welcoming gifts of nice accessories to adorn herself with, and a familiar to keep by her side. Sassie and Kiko, a friendly wildclaw girl, hit it off nicely and have become great friends. When they both have time off from their chores and occupations around the clan, they can often be found chatting in the shade of a small oak tree along the side of the lair. Sassie has easily made herself at home here, and even if it will only be a short time until she sets off to continue her adventures, she knows that she'll always have a friend in little Kiko. For now though, she better get to know her knew lair and everyone in it.

Out of all of the oddities of this new clan, however, there was one dragon in particular that caught her attention. His name was Reaper. He has a dark, mysterious look about him, and he never seems to show any emotion that isn't negative. He prefers to walk about at night as well, which only adds to his eerie feel. Reaper never seems to care about social interaction, in fact the only dragon Sassie had ever seen him talk to was a sweet girl named Nala. And so, she had made it her mission to find out as much as she could about this strange, gloomy, Imp.

And it turns out, Reaper is a Shinigami, taking souls for a living. That's a bit frightening. He's anti-social, nocturnal, reaps souls, and has a Death Seeker as a familiar. Doesn't really seem like the friendliest of dragons. So Sassafras decided he was probably one to keep your distance from, which, naturally, only made her even more curious.

There have been a few times when Reaper noticed Sassie observing him, which always results in him glaring at her and walking away. So instead she just asked Kiko. Kiko told Sassie that Reaper comes across as rude, grumpy, gloomy, and pessimistic. And that all of those things are completely true, but that he's also hard-working, and is nice when he needs to be. So he isn't all evil, and as long as you don't mess with him or Nala, he won't mess with you either.

Satisfied with what she found, Sassie ended her observations of the eerie imp, and started getting into a schedule with the rest of the clan. She'd wake up each morning and do her chores, then spend the rest of the day making friends or chatting with Kiko. Then once the day came to an end, everyone would sit around and tell stories about different adventures and gladekeeper lore. It was quite a friendly environment, and she learned lots of things about the gladekeeper through their nightly storytelling.

On one afternoon when they had extra free time, Kiko and Sassie took their first trip to the coliseum. It was very exciting, if not a little frightening. They went to the training grounds and fought different creatures, and even gained their first level!

But eventually the newness of this clan faded out, and everything became regular. Miss Sassafras had done just about everything there is to do in this clan, so it was time to set out again, and find some new friends and experiences. She'd miss her new friend Kiko, but there was more out there in the world, just waiting for her to find it. So she packed up her things, and took off.

Sassafras found herself wandering from the Viridian Labyrinth, to the Tangled Woods. There she found a motley clan of Dragons eager for fresh faces. One of the clan caught her eye though- an energetic spiral named Oscar. With her pet owl at her side, she decided to stay for a while.

The days were filled with bustling activity as the clan went through it's daily activities, the evenings filled with exploration, adventures, and storytelling. The young dragons tumbled about in playful banter, whilst the older dragons reminisced with stories of the battles they had fought and the places they had been. All the time, Sassie played and learned and grew with them.

By her side, Oscar zipped about happily, the two of them nearly inseparable. It was no surprise to the others of the clan that when breeding time came, they took a nice little corner of the lair to themselves to hatch some cute little noodlettes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
sassafras and her new mate continued to talia's clan. talia was a pearcatcher, with beautiful blue and purple colors that matched her lair very well. she ruled her clan alone, and this amazed the small noodle. she couldn't imagine traveling without oscar, much less ruling without him. still, she found she liked the clan ruler, who was very fair and a bit silly.
her favorite part of the whole experience was the children. the lair seemed to be absolutely bursting with children. and anytime one left or grew up, there were more. it made her happy, and she knew oscar was too. she definitely, needed lots of children, she decided.
at one point, she got asked if she'd like to do some training. she was nervous, having already trained before. she hadn't liked it much. but she knew oscar wanted to, and she liked the idea of finding a present for him. so she agreed, and set off (to be finished after leveling)
one of the dragons, named genvieve, became very close to sassie. she was a bit older, and covered in colorful prints. she seemed very proud of her colors, and her genes. sassie had to agree- it was very nice, if not traditional. it made her wonder what would happen if she tried to change her own genes. she almost did, but decided at the last moment that she liked who she was and really didn't want to lose any part of that. especially the part she had gained in these travels. she had learned much of the shadowbinder, of which mushrooms were safe to eat, how to gather her own food and fight monsters that harmed her, and she had grown even closer to oscar. after all she had learned, of the lair and each member in it, she had her doubts about moving on. but with a gentle nudge and reminder from her mate that there were still nine lands to see, she nodded and bid her new friends adieu.
---
Sassafras felt the chill on her wings, the frost beginning to form around her joints. The nip in the air quickly turned into a bitter cold, and she let Oscar know that she was no longer able to fly. Landing proved difficult as they could barely see in the dark, and the vast frigid ocean was speckled with translucent ice floes.
A glimmer caught her eyes; it was a Coatl, with a dark body but bright illuminated points. He took the noodle pair to his den, where Sassafras met the clan leader, Prehnyte. The lair was far warmer than the outside, and though she was eager to explore the Southern Icefield, her wings would not allow it.
Many dragons came, she saw. Most had came like she had- frostbitten and looking for a place to rest. She discovered that the clan was a small one, just starting out, and that the original matriarch had died of an illness. Many dragons left in search of a more established clan, but others stayed behind, and each stranger shared their stories. Her favorite was from the Tundra named Whiskey, a desert nomad from the Ashfall Waste who was looking to find out more about his roots. Sassafras could only wonder who else she might meet, and she listened with great focus.
A great friendship grew
