A few paces later, you catch a whiff of spices about the air. As you take a step forward, a handsome Snapper steps out of his den. "Ah! I'm sorry! Am I in the way?" You shake your head no. "Oh! A visitor! Sorry I couldn't greet you earlier. I tend to deal with out-of-clan affairs around here, so it would've been customary for me to receive you."

He dips his head and places a paw on his chest. "My name is Cinnamon. Pleased to meet you. Please excuse the smell- most dragons find it pleasant, but particularly carnivorous folk and those with sensitive noses (or tongues, I suppose) can find it rather overwhelming. I've been making a batch of cookies- cinnamon chip- and their smell tends to waft about, especially in an enclosed, primarily-underground lair such as ours. Would you like to try one?"

Even though cookies don't fit your usual diet, you decide to give it a go. At your nod, the bulky dragon scoots back into his lair and returns with a small, half-burnt disc of bread in the tip of his beak. Crunch! It's got a bit of a crust around it, and there's a bit too much spice, but it's not the worst you've had. "I'm a rather poor cook, but I felt bad rarely doing anything for the clan, besides providing exaltees- the Clan of Nightfall tends to keep to itself, and the leaders can be... volatile. Moonshadow's just kind of out there, and Fossil- who often leads in her stead- can be rather fanatical. Despite this, dragons of many faiths and alignments can find refuge here, if they contribute to the clan's well-being somehow. Oh, but that's got nothing to do with you, so I'd best be on my way. Have you seen my mate, Rainbowkitten?" You nod, and point behind you. "Good. I was worried she'd be out fighting- I want her to try my latest batch of cookies!" You tell him he has to hurry, since Rainbowkitten is about to leave to fight alongside exalts. "Thank you! I'll be on my way!" He ducks back into his den to grab a tray of cookies and heads off, striding quickly on his muscular legs.

Uninterrupted once more, you continue your journey. There must be a back exit here somewhere...
