Mycobacterium is the over worked, underpaid and very taken for granted but wouldn't have it any other way assistant and second mate of Necrotizing. He is the only reason Necrotizing has been able to maintain the chaotic organization of his lab and work notes with relative ease and smoothness. He is also the only reason Necrotizing hasn't died of starvation, has some illusion of a sleeping pattern and hasn't had Fasciitiss poison him out of frustration and spite.
He will follow Necrotizing to the ends of the earth and there is nothing that Mycobacterium wouldn't do for Necrotizing. Occasionally Necrotizing remembers Mycobacterium is there and expresses his affection and gratitude for all the work and support he gives. More often than not however, Necrotizing is just so fixated, eager about his work and thrilled at showing it to someone that he doesn't notice the only one constantly in the lab with him is Mycobacterium. Fasciitiss is thankful to Mycobacterium for loving, supporting and understanding her mate in ways that she is limited and is quite happy with the relationship arrangement the three of them have. She considers Mycobacterium to be an important part of their family and leaves them to do what they do without a fuss or comment. As long as her books stay organized, her supplies un-pilfered and communication is maintained she is happy and showers Mycobacterium with as much emotional and physically platonic affection as he consents to. Mycobacterium does not care for Fasciitiss as much as Necrotizing but as she is important to Necrotizing, he is as polite and platonically affectionate to her as he needs to be. More often than not he and Fasciitiss end up bonding over Necrotizing antics. They both agree that the love and care one ends up investing in Necrotizing for so little return is a bit much for one dragon alone and they are happy that they have each other for support. They jokingly call themselves 'the hopelessly in a relationship with a work obsessive, selfish yet endearing mad scientist support group." ྿ Mycobacterium leprae and Mycobacterium lepromatosis. The two bacterium that causes Leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease (HD).     |
