OZYMANDIAS and Meritmut keep largely to themselves, even in the ranks of their Oneiroi brethern, and like the others are considered to be more the physical form of an idea rather than actual dragons (whether or not that’s true is debatable).They act more like they are one creature motivated by a single will than separate dragons, and outside the ranks of their fellows in service, other dragons avoid them, finding them alien and unpleasant. It is unknown whether this is caused by whatever force or initiation draws them into service or whether they are drawn into service because of this existing trait.

The dragons in this group are largely celibate. Ozymandias and Meritmut are the only mated pair so far wherein both members are Holy, and they are together constantly. Other members spend large amounts of their time alone. Their hatchlings are laid only in the line of duty to the Lightweaver. They have very little interest in them, do not brood their nests, and don’t appear to register that they are related. Hatchlings born to the Oneiroi are left to be raised by the clan’s foster. It is unusual for dragons who hold this position in the clan to choose to reproduce at all, but there doesn’t appear to be any stigma against it within the group, and in fact they don’t really seem to notice it at all or attach any importance to it.

It appears that one cannot be born into this position or these characteristics through heritage, as children produced by these members generally act like ordinary dragons, but it is also not known whether the Watchers once behaved differently from the way they do now. Whatever the case may be, nobody in the White City has ever seen one break away or act differently, and most treat them with cautious respect, not knowing entirely what they are capable of or what their purpose is.
