Drifting through the infinite blackness of space, Tychl is a shadowy stain on the cosmos—an entity that embodies the silent, endless hunger of the void. Hatched from an egg that inexplicably formed within the cold vacuum of space, it has evolved beyond the limits of terrestrial dragons. This creatures form is wreathed in the deepest black, its scales absorbing nearly all light, allowing it to vanish against the abyss. However, scattered across this creatures body are luminous specks resembling distant stars, making it seem less like a living being and more like a piece of the night sky itself, drifting ominously through the void.

Tychl lacks the ability to hear or speak; the very concept of sound is foreign to this creature. Instead, it perceives existence through the delicate pull of gravity, sensing the weight of celestial bodies and the presence of living creatures by the distortions they create. Its sight is tuned to thermal energy, allowing it to track movement in the frozen expanse of space. Those who have glimpsed Tychl—astral travelers lost beyond the reaches of Sornieth—describe the terrifying moment when the very stars seem to shift, only to realize they are staring into the unblinking eyes of something ancient, something hungry.

Tychl has never fed in the way mortal creatures do. Tychl had never grown in the way mortal creatures have. It does not need air, water, or warmth. Its very essence has always been one of consumption, draining the life force of anything unfortunate enough to drift within its grasp. It is said that even planets with dying atmospheres have felt Tychl's influence, their surfaces stripped of all warmth, their inhabitants vanishing into the cold. Whether this creature does this by instinct or by will is unknown, as there are none who have ever returned to tell the tale.

Though it lurks beyond the reach of Sornieth’s atmosphere, some fear the day when something—or someone—will break the barrier that keeps Tychl at bay. Scholars speculate that its connection to the Arcane element suggests a link to cosmic anomalies, that it may be drawn toward rifts in time and space. And if such a rift were ever to open... Tychl would not hesitate to descend.

For now, Tychl remains an omen lurking beyond the sky, a terror only whispered about in the halls of Arcane scholars and shadowed prophecies. But the universe is ever-changing, and the barriers between realms are not as unbreakable as they seem. One day, the stars may shift in unnatural patterns. A void may open where none should exist. And in that moment, those who look up at the night sky may realize, far too late...

The abyss is looking back, and it is starving.
