Biography
Not a name, but a title. She arrived at the lair at a hefty price, but with highest recommendations on the field of battle. Among her tribe of itinerant warriors, she was one of a select few who had never been conquered. Whether Beastclan or dragon, whichever foe met her was sure to be doomed, analyzed coolly and then torn asunder, overcome by superior strength and one of the keenest minds the Order had ever seen.
Talis wanted her, badly. Talis always got what she wanted.
The Order was unique among clans. Comprised of dragons of all species and flights, they took yearlings in for education and turned them into selfless, unquestioning fighting machines. Guardians were preferred, as their natural instincts for protection could often be subjugated into devout belief in the laws of the Order. Mature dragons would go out into the world in turn, subletted to clans who required extra protection from a scrupulous and unthinking source.
Invictus has lived up to her title since her arrival. Solid, silent, and unyielding, she is a terrifying presence in the lair, and many of the permanent residents have not had the temerity to approach her. Practically a living statue unless brought to life by Talis' commands, she only truly appears alive on the battlefield.
However, Talis may have purchased more than she bargained for. Behind the rigidly obedient facade lies a dry wit and a keen awareness of the lair's corruption. Orders given that were intended to single out or harm a member of the lair, while nominally obeyed, are often blunted or delayed when possible. Those few who dare to speak with her privately may find themselves an unlikely friend.
