Biography

sIqcjUs.gif "I can still hear the screams..."

Role in Clan: Hunter, retired trainer.

Friends/Allies: Was once friends with Sloane.

Enemies/Oppositions: Beastclans, enemies of the clan.

Romantic Interest: Unknown.

Scyfax had always been a fighter, even long after the war his clan had with the Beastclans. Those he'd grown close with were scattered from the devastation and chose to set off on their own, thinking their clan was too fragmented to save. He traveled alone for quite some time, never sitting in one area for too long. Scyfax had thought it was his fate to be alone.

During his journeys, he'd come across inexperienced clans who'd be in the cross-hairs of a beastclan attack and he'd offer his services to train their members. He would leave shortly after and he wouldn't ever know what had become of them. He just didn't want to go through it. Seeing that carnage and violence was something he couldn't shake. After a while, he noticed that he was losing sleep and would often stare out into space for hours on end. Scyfax had decided to put his training to rest for the time being until his nerves settled.

Unfortunately, a part of him had been taken during that war all those years ago. He was now afraid of growing attached to a new cause or clan, or even another dragon. Scyfax wondered what was there to life if he couldn't even trust himself with something he truly worked hard for. He almost lost himself to that darkness that lurked within his own mind.

It was a bumbling, young dragon named Sloane that had managed to pull him out of his self-inflicted misery. At first, the Mirror wanted nothing to do with the strange Pearlcatcher, thinking he was just an annoying burden. His clan had cast him out for his impulsive, rambunctious attitude just at the time where Scyfax had been considering taking his leave. Sloane followed Scyfax with a dogged determination, which had been harmless at first.

Neither of them had seen it coming, a beastclan hoard of Talonok had ambushed them both and had left Sloane badly injured due to his inexperience. After Scyfax had singlehandedly fought off the swarm, he was left bitter and shaking once again. He then decided to train Sloane so he wouldn't be caught off-guard again. He'd made it his sole purpose in life.

At first, the Pearlcatcher was clumsy with his new robotic enhancements, but with that determination he was known for, we was able to adapt well enough. Upon seeing him reach past his limits, Scyfax would only push him further until Sloane would suddenly start showing signs of the heat of battle long after it had passed. He grew battle crazed to a point where Scyfax couldn't stop him. It had finally been made clear to him that his influence had driven the young pearlcatcher to some state of madness.

Now stricken with grief, Scyfax tried to distance himself from Sloane. It was difficult for him to see that glimmer of that personality he'd come to appreciate slowly fade into that something he'd created. Often Sloane would show traces of that dragon he used to be, but those times were becoming fewer and far between. With the young dragon's prowess far exceeding his own, Scyfax had decided he couldn't even destroy this monster he'd created. When he'd taken off on his own once again, he didn't even look back before flying off into the night.

Years had passed and Scyfax had come across clan MechWyrms and has chosen to offer his services to the group, all while carrying his heavy past with him.

Relationship to the Clan: Uncertain Ally;
Remains dedicated to his new cause. For now.

Currently:

-Was treating his new situation as another training routine until he'd seen that Sloane was among the members. He is currently unsure of what to do.

-Carries around Slaone's pearl as he can't even recognize it. Their past fond memories are hidden in there somewhere...
