Biography

The ruler of every strange thing that washes ashore, Drift claims their Charge is the ocean itself. Not just the sea, not just the beach - the whole damn thing.

Drift hatched before they could meet their mother, Kepler, a guardian caught in a perpetual journey. Quite the contrary, Drift prefers to stay firmly with their clan, where they can visit the beach every day and collect a menagerie of shells, driftwood, dead fish, putrid seaweed, cuttlefish cartilage, bleached bones, seaglass, crab shells, rusted coins, broken arrowheads, and hundreds upon hundreds of pebbles. Why do you always bring home so many rocks? Don't you already have about eighty "perfect" skipping stones already? Honestly.

This all ends up scattered around the lair, or hanging from the ceiling in weathered knots of rope in mobiles, just ripe for On to hit his head against.
