Biography
Shadow
A eager worker, and a tiny protector.
A eager worker, and a tiny protector.
Shadow hatched within the elegant forests of the Starwood Strand. He and the other faes gathered beneath the trees, learning magic from the elder dragons in the region. Shadow soon found himself studying in a small school of moderate prestige, alongside many other faes that lived in the region. He was given a solid, generalized education. He could read, write, and recite historic events. Yet, he wasn't certain where he wanted his life to go, and what he wanted to specialize in. At first, Shadow thought he might wish to get into medicine. He moved to The Wandering Contagion, taking up an apprenticeship. However, it was soon apparent that the lifestyle just wasn't for him. He loved helping dragons. He lived for it, even. Yet, the long sleepless days were starting to take a toll on his health. After a brief scare by a Venomous Toridae, he decided to cut his apprenticeship short, and seek employment elsewhere. He moved to the Lightning Farm, taking job as a Safety Engineer. Most of his work consisted of finding and pointing out mistakes, ether in blueprint or on the actual fields. Pointing out where magical shorts where more likely to happen, or less likely to happen. Shadow loved the work. He was able to help other dragons, but the hours were far more reasonable. He was in awe at the lightning strikes, brighter then any star he had ever seen. Yet, there was no denying that this was dangerous work. Beastclan attacks where rare, but Beastclan invasions where infuriatingly common. The Ampelope were mostly harmless, until they started to chew though the expensive wiring. The day the Thunderstomp wondered into the workzone, was one he could never forget. Work couldn't actually continue for nearly a month. |
It was a team bonding event, that brought Shadow to the Viridian Labyrinth. After what was then called 'The Thunderstomp Event', Large Beastclan Watching had become a popular hobby within his career. Most of the dragons couldn't battle such large, dangerous beastclan. So they had taken to watching them from the sky, giving nicknames to the assorted Quillrunners and Skira. The managers thought a trip to the jungle, would be a good way to help reward the workers. It would be a drastic change of scenery, and perhaps they would even be so lucky as to see a Pohip. Shadow thought the entire thing was silly, but he wasn't about to complain about the rare company funded vacation. During the trip, Shadow found himself talking with many dragons in the region. He especially enjoyed conversations with a Wind Spiral named Shine. The two spoke of many things, ranging from what the tastiest insects where, to philosophy. Between their quick friendship, and the beauty of the Jungle, Shadow's mind was made up. Once his work contract expired, he moved to the labyrinth, joining the very same clan. At first, his work simply was to help grade seedlings for selling and replanting. However, he frequently found himself traveling with his new friend, while they battled enemy beastclan. At first, he didn't notice how strong he was becoming. When he did notice, his career changed again. He started teaching dragons how to defend themselves, and taught them about the deities he had studied so long ago. He met many dragons, and he adored teaching others. |
Shadow has several friends within the clan. Yet, he is the closest to Shine, a wind spiral, and Moth, a blue-winged fae. He has also since befriended a Fae named Iolite. xxxxxxxxx |
