Molten is a Lich and a long-term Rotfire clanmate. She is a strange mix of elegant and brutal; on the one hand, she is well-spoken, clearly intelligent, haughty in demeanor, and seemingly clings to creature comforts like jewelry and silk. On the other hand, though she pretends civility, she delights in the fight once claws at last meet flesh; and if the clan debates the fate of an enemy, she finds her thrill in casting her vote toward their death... all in pretty words, of course. That seeming pleasure in finer things is mostly an act, too. She is content on rock beds in open air (be it filled with smoke or plagued mist); she simply prefers the aesthetic of pretend nobility.

The dragon was hatched a Mirror, but her tampering with alchemy and the Wyrmwound itself has altered her. She enjoys her new and bulkier body, but her Mirror mentality remains: a loyalty to her little pack, and a near-feral ferocity on the hunt. Her reasoning for setting down first the path of the Necromancer, and then the Lich, included both sheer arrogance and a hunger for power and to prove herself. She delights in both the searing flame of her native element and the festering contagions of Plague, and is perhaps the truest Necromancer of the pack, spending most of her free time developing new strains and testing them delightedly on hapless creatures.

While one might initially think that an arrogant, haughty dragon would be the easiest for the Shade to gets its claws into, in fact it finds a surprisingly difficult target in Molten. The dragon is so arrogant and stubborn that she blithely dismisses every attempt her inner Shade infestation makes to sway her. So certain is she of her superiority to it that she has rather accidentally made it fact; now it attempts to push her toward crueller, colder acts with flame and plague, but even that is a formidable task. How does one influence a creature who already embraces such things as a part of their personality..? The ongoing battle, then, is almost comical in its tragedy, as the already murderous Lich simply goes about her daily business, the hapless cosmic force inside her finding little more than a like-minded shell to inhabit.

Flameback Slink
Despite her intense savagery and bloodlust (masked though it may be by faux elegance), Molten—like her packmate Blightburn—holds mercy and respect for those creatures that fight to the end. If she is toying with, or experimenting on, prey that proves uncommonly tenacious, she will often cleanse and free it, letting it go with her admiring blessing.
Cindershroom
Despite her alchemical (and plague-induced) "accident," or maybe because of it, Molten has thrown herself deeper into her studies, if they can be called that. More mad experimentation than a scholar's testing, she combines all sorts of toxins, diseases, plants and reagents in attempts to uncover new and interesting alchemy. Thus far she has managed to create fungal-based mists (carried in a bottle) that sear flesh on contact, poisons that can cause a body to ignite from within, and other delightful horrors.
Plague Aura
Molten's carried plague strains are particularly potent. Like most of the Rotfire, she carries disease that specifically causes intense burning and fever, but in her case, simply being near enough can infect a healthy victim. As such, when the clan attempts any form of diplomacy, she must keep her distance... unless the plan is one of betrayal.
Thick Meat Strips
Molten's contributions to the clan are not only a theoretical and disease-based. She is an active dragon, and while she embraces the "lounging noble" aesthetic, she also tends to get bored and impatient on long rests. As such, much of the clan's food stores and local caches are supplied by Molten; she enjoys the hunt, and though slower than she once was, she's capable now of tackling larger prey—something she revels in.
