  ABOUT.
Although born without the facet required to exercise his abilities as a 'true' Lightgem, Mellerio is no less devoted a teacher and confidante in the clan. He takes charge of young hatchlings and helps them find their way to lifelong callings. Possessed of an excellent singing voice, he travels far and wide to other territories and extols the virtues of the clan's young ones in order to find them new homes in which to exercise their blossoming talents.

It was on one of these journeys that Macaria, a Lightgem skydancer hatchling in an earth clan, solemnly proposed taking him to mate "when she was old enough." He soon learned that his prospective bride was a precocious artisan with the same tendency to decorate dragons as his own father, Eligius. When she presented him with a citrine ring and a belt of polished amber he didn't have the heart to refuse her gifts. No matter his arguments that she might find a more suitable drake, Macaria insisted that she would have no other.
