• • Not all dragons want or need for company. What Azhke seeks are not friends, but fame. Anything that could tie her down is seen as a nuisance, something that could only slow her down, and she has no patience for such things. There's too much to do, too much to see.

For those few that can keep up with her, Azhke makes a stalwart ally. You will always know where you stand. There's no capacity for guile or trickery in her, and betrayal is never a thought that crosses her mind. She may have few connections, but those she does make she treats with respect, for as long as she may have them. The life of a daredevil doesn't lend itself to long friendships.

It's a life that Azhke would never dream of giving up. She's lived much more than many dragons can claim to. The stories she carries are worth more than any treasure to be found.

• • Azhke has a small body, normal wings, and a normal weight.
• • Rakasha Azhkenara and her husband did not come from here. Nor did they come from any land near here, for their eyes betray an unusual amber-green hue, marking them as children of the Windsinger. But Azhke does not speak of any deity, and she is not pressed to tell. It is enough that she nods her head to the Shadowbinder's effigy, enough that she lets her children be sent to foster with other shadow clans.
