Biography

TALIA
a cool song lyric or their clan role or smth

It wasn't every day that the founder of a clan became an outcast.

The unfortunate thing was that it hadn't always been this way either. Talia had fostered a small but tight knit clan with her life mate, a tundra named Atalo. There were a few dragons who would come and go at the beginning, but for the most part the clan remained Talia, Atalo, and 4 other dragons who called the clan their home.

As the founders, Talia and her mate were the first to lay a clutch. And when their hatchlings came into the world, the entirety of the small clan rejoiced. Talia felt such happiness at seeing her little ones come into the world that she couldn't imagine anything bad happening.

But that was sadly not to be. It wasn't long after hatching that two of her three hatchlings left home, unable to survive in their native land. They were weak, and were of no use to a clan living in the Plaguelands. Her eldest son though, Ithiel, was strong. A Guardian like his mother, he rose through the ranks of the clan as he grew. But even he couldn't escape the grasp of the Plaguebringer.

It was here that Talia's grasp upon her clan began to waver. The small group of dragons sensed her grief at losing her children, for they knew what hatchlings meant to their mother. They stayed by their leader's side, never wavering in their loyalty. The clan agreed to help the grieving Talia through her pain, though the clan turned to her mate for guidance. With the aid of his clan, Atalo helped it grow by a few more dragons, bringing the ranks up to 8.

It took Talia a long time before she was able to overcome her grief. And when she was finally coming to terms with the loss of her children, the Plaguebringer turned her eyes toward the small clan and claimed Atalo for her ranks.

This plunged the matriarch into a level of grief that seemed impossible. Although the dragons in her clan were loyal, they quickly realized that they were now leaderless. Most of the newcomers left the clan, going to find a more stable home. Only a very small few of the original dragons remained, though they were now wary of any dragon who crossed into their territory. The clan devolved into nothing more than small groups of wary, afraid dragons. And in the back of the lair was Talia, mourning the loss of everything she ever loved.

It hadn't been her choice to reside at the back of the lair, for she still considered herself the clan's leader. But through numerous fights, where dragons passing through would try to claim the clan for their own, she grew weak with apathy and wounds. Her clan had chased her to the back for her protection.

Finally, a newcomer arrived. He travelled through the clan, coming and going, growing stronger and stronger. And Talia was helpless to do anything other than watch him grow, all the while being constantly reminded of her losses, for the newcomer had the same coloring as her lost mate.

She was helpless to stop him from coming into her territory though. Though she made an effort to change, he grew stronger and stronger, and the dragons who called the clan their home grew quite fond of him. They began to show signs of vigor when he was around, and many of them awaited his return whenever he left for another of the Plaguebringer's tests.

And when the clan finally named the newcomer as the new leader, it was nowhere near as hurtful as when they bestowed the name Atallo upon him.
