Orrin

Orrin the the resident "grumpy old man" of the clan. Despite his age he is a very strong dragon who uses his passion for fighting in the coliseum and forging new and ever more ambitious weapons to "keep his hide young".
Despite his intimidating exterior Orrin's charge is to the protection of hatchlings. He often trains with young-lings, teaching them how to protect themselves and others.

His strong bond with Elidian, the clan leader, comes from long ago in her past: As a hatchling Elidian was either abandoned or lost. She was found by Orrin wandering around in the thick of the Wispwillow Grove with a large bite wound on her arm. Her cries of pain alerted Orrin as he was passing overhead. Orrin, finding her alone and unable to determine where her clan was, rushed to the starwood strand with the shaking hatchling. The healers were unfortunately too late and a dangerously heavy gembond grew over Elidian's hide.

Orrin took great care of the gembonded hatchling and was determined to give her back as much mobility as he could. After spending months of hard and careful work he forged the most delicate tools he's ever made and removed as many gems around Elidian's joints as he could, granting her mobility once again. The two dragons have been in close council ever since.
