Forestheart
found as a hatchling shivering beneath
a half rotted log as his only protection from a terrible storm,
Forestheart was lovingly brought home by his "mother"
Swashbuckle. not knowing much about the world, where he
came from, Forestheart quickly began to learn the ways of his
new clan. at the time, the clan was small, consisting of only his
mother, father, his brother- Crowsnest, and a dragon he viewed
as his "aunt" (Frostgale). but the clan soon began to grow and
change, with new dragons being born, or disbanding from their
old clan to join the Starlit-Forest clan. he wanted to learn everything.
but "everything" came much too quickly when the wars broke out.
Forestheart and his brother (and best friend) Crowsnest, were thrown
into battle as soon as their wings were strong enough. they fought
tooth and nail to protect their homeland, and in the process became
great warriors. upon their return, they were struck with horrid news,
Swashbuckle had fallen gravely ill from the pestilent powers of the
plaque flight, and had decided to resign as chieftain of the Starlit-Forest
clan. knowing that she may not be able to protect her clan forever,
she assigned the role of chieftain to young Forestheart. she never
gave a true judgment as to why she didn't bestow the rank of "chief" to her
biological son, Crowsnest, but stands firmly behind her secret reasoning.
now Forestheart has to learn what it means to be the chief, and protect his
clan, and in turn- his flight- with his life.
