"An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart."
Elsa was born to another clan in the Lightweaver's realm where she lived happily with her parents. When they left to move to the Windswept Plateau, Elsa saw her chance to travel and see the many sights around Sorneith. Travelling from one clan to another, she visited many libraries and studied material pertaining to her interests. While not the element of her birth, ice magic always held an interest for her and she yearned for a way to make it hers. One day she found a mention in an obscure book which she believed would allow her to change her element to match what she felt it should be. After carefully researching the spell and gathering the ingredients, Elsa cast the magic on herself. Instantly cold ran through her, freezing her heart and making her breath catch in her throat. Instead of being confined to her body, the ice ran out of her claws, freezing anything they touched. Although she no longer felt concerned about the damage being done, the new clan Elsa moved to, back in the Lightweaver's realm, was concerned about the damage she could do. One of her new clanmates, Farworyn, traveled until she found chains capable of temporarily restraining Elsa's powers. The other's fiery passion began to rub off on Elsa, the other beginning to show more interest in the world around her again, especially as it pertained to Farworyn. When the other learned of special shackles which would be able to fully bind Elsa's power, she was excited to hear of that. Even with the current bindings, she could not touch the other for fear of burning her. |

Elsa and Farworyn have grown closer during the time the latter has spent helping her, to the point where they are now living together. It is difficult, though, since Elsa sometimes feels the ice inside threaten to creep up and wash out her feelings again which causes her to pull away for fear of hurting her partner. Farworyn continues to stick by her, though, no matter what. As the shackles closed around her, Elsa felt a sudden lessening of the cold inside of her, icy touch no longer causing frost to grow at her feet. Tears welled up, relief at the reprieve overwhelming her with its strength after so long of having her emotions dulled. Recently, Weiss has been helping Elsa learn to control her powers, although she still needs the shackles to help keep the adverse effects of her magic in check. |

Now, I wonder who this lovely lady could be named after...? Elsa fits the whole ice aesthetic SO WELL! I love how her crystal could easily be interpreted as ice, and the way that her accent is taking hold of her wings in side a similar way to when the ice took over Anna's heart. She looks so gorgeous in those robes too! Ah! I just read her lore, and it seems like my frozen heart interpretation was correct! That makes me so happy! Her lore is so creative, and I love how her ice magic came to be! The idea of her not channelling the magic, but having it attack her instead is such a clever little detail! I haven't seen much magic manifest itself in that way on Flight Rising!
