HISTORY:

Teta's only memory of his father is a small, reserved smile and a gentle caress on his head; beyond that, though, nothing.

He died when Teta was still very young.

Nevertheless, Teta's childhood wasn't one without paternal influence; his mother found new love, eventually, and with his new stepfather came another addition to his family: a stepbrother, somewhat younger than him. Kaelum was outgoing where Teta was a bit timid, brash where Teta was polite, and overall much more of a loud, in-your-face type of character than his older step-brother. Teta didn't mind that too much.

Sometimes, though, Kaelum scared him. There was a certain unwarranted brutality in his actions at times, or a somewhat disturbing gleam to his eyes - Teta couldn't help but feel relieved when Kaelum departed on his long-lasting journeys, even if his relief came tinged with a sense of guilt. With Kaelum gone, Teta couldn't help but feel as if he was able to breathe freely again.
