Nightshade

Nightshade was born in Mortemville as an orphaned hatchling, although he was never officially adopted by anybody, he was well taken care of. Granny Smith and Elderberry always made sure he was fed and warm. He considers them to be his family.

Nightshade became interested in poisons at a very young age, he planted his own garden of datura, hemlock, foxglove, and nightshade. As he got older, his garden grew more and more varied. However, at the request of Yarrow, he had to make sure his garden was blocked off. Yarrow didn't want his bees getting to the poisoned flowers. It could poison his batches of honey, making them dangerous and unfit for consumption. He also didn't want any of the town's hatchlings to snack on the poison plants.

Nightshade and Creamsicle are good friends who bonded over their love of baking. Sometimes they'll spend time baking together. Nightshade, weirdo poison enthusiast that he is, will bake himself a treat and add the tiniest hint of homemade poison to it. He only doses himself with a tiny bit of poison at a time. He of course makes sure his treats don't get mixed up with the things that Creamsicle plans to sell.

Creamsicle has no idea why Nightshade does this. Is he building up a poison immunity in case someone tries to poison him in the future? Nightshade has literally no enemies and no reason for anyone to want to poison him, so who knows. Maybe he's just a weirdo.
